Registration Fees

Regular rate: $150 ($US)

Student/Early Career Scientist* rate: $100 ($US)

*To be eligible for this reduced rate, you must be a full-time M.S. or Ph.D. student or an "early career" scientist (post-graduate and researcher who has received Ph.D. in the last five years).

Student Registration Fee Waivers (Now Closed)

A limited number of registration fee waivers are available to full-time M.S. and Ph.D. students.  To apply, please provide a one-page summary of your research interests including a statement on how attending this meeting will benefit your career.  Also submit a copy of your current student ID or letter from advisor.  You will have an option to submit these materials when you register for the meeting online.  Application deadline is March 1, 2013.  Applicants will be notified of decision by March 15, 2013.

Payment Information

You will be asked to select a form of payment during the online registration and abstract submission process.  Payments will not be processed and credit cards will not be charged until May 1, 2013.  This will allow time for abstracts to be reviewed and accepted before payment is required.  Registrants will be notified by email several days prior to credit cards being charged or checks being deposited.

Visa Invitation Letters

If you require an official invitation letter to apply for a visa, you will have the option to request this during registration. Invitation letters will be sent out immediately after the abstracts are accepted. 

Abstract Submission (Now Closed)

Abstract submissions are requested for both poster and oral presentations. There are limited time slots available for oral presentations. You will be notified by March 15 if your abstract is selected for an oral presentation.

The deadline to submit abstracts is March 1, 2013.

Abstracts submitted after this date will be accepted on a space-available basis.

Abstract Guidelines

  • Abstracts should be formatted as you would like them to appear when posted online.
  • Include title, all authors with affiliations, and an email for the corresponding author.
  • Limit abstract length to 250 words or less.
  • Preferred abstract file formats are .pdf or .jpg.
  • Please do not upload html, unformatted Word, or plain text files.
  • Name your file as follows: <PresenterLastName_FirstName_GRISO2013.pdf>.
  • If you have any problems uploading your abstract file, please complete your registration and email the abstract file to reisdorf@ucar.edu.

Poster Guidelines

  • Each poster will be assigned half of a 96 x 48 in (244 x 122 cm) rectangular poster panel.
  • The total area for each poster is 48 in x 48 in (122 cm x 122cm).
  • Posters should not exceed 48 in (122 cm) horizontally.
