Diane Lask, UCAR-JOSS, 303-497-8684

Objectives:
The goals of the meeting will be (1) to review NOAA PACS achievements over the first 5 years, (2) to give NASA, NOAA and NSF PIs an opportunity to present and discuss current Pan American climate research, and (3) to get PI feedback on U.S. CLIVAR Pan American research plans for the next five years. We are looking forward to contributions from all NOAA PACS PIs as well as other PIs actively involved in Pan American climate research.

LOGISTICS
REGISTRATION FEE: There will be a $60 registration fee for all PACS investigators who attend the meeting. Registration fees will be collected at the meeting.

OVERNIGHT GUESTS: The Bolger Center offers very nice accommodations on-site at an attractive rate. The room rate of $108 + taxes includes three buffet meals per day. All overnight guests MUST pay this rate; ie there is no discount if you choose not to partake of the provided meals. The Bolger center requires a rooming list of overnight guests, thus UCAR/JOSS will be organizing the room reservation list for this meeting. Rooms will automatically be guaranteed when you are added to the list. Guests are responsible for paying applicable room charges to the Bolger Center during their stay. Meal tickets will be provided when you check in. All meals are served in the dining room on the first floor of the Main Building. Breakfast is served from 6:00am to 8:30am; lunch from 11:00am to 1:30pm; and, dinner from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Note: Check-in/check-out times are 2:00pm and 12:00noon at the front desk in the Reception Building.

DAY GUESTS: The Bolger Center also requires a list of day guests (participants not staying overnight at the Bolger Center) so they have an accurate count for meeting space requirements and daily refreshment preparation. Thus day guests should register with UCAR indicating their specific attendance dates. Lunch tickets will be provided to day guests if they register in advance.
